  • The construction specialist is responsible for access road and well site. Will develop construction estimates, support Front End Loading (FEL), build, maintain and reclaim access roads and well locations.

Key accountabilities:

  • Timely delivery of cost efficient and incident free construction projects in support of all wells team operations

  • Assure that all construction work is delivered in full compliance with all applicable BP as well as all state, federal and tribal rules & regulations

  • Direct oversight of all third party construction workforce on assigned activities

  • ​Safe, efficient, on-time execution

In 2015, the L48 Onshore is being established as a separate business within BP’s Upstream to manage its onshore oil and gas assets across the US onshore. This effort is being undertaken to improve competitiveness and help L48 remain at the forefront of innovation and development of technologies for unconventional resources.

Essential experience and job requirements:

  • 10+ years of construction experience

  • Familiarity with applicable regulatory environment

  • ​History of experience in Colorado, New Mexico

  • Good verbal communication skills

  • Be proficient at the use of the BP one call system

  • Proven ability to excel in a multi-disciplinary team environment (engineering, operations, drilling and completion)

  • Self-motivated with a history of achieving results

  • Ability to manage simultaneous operations and contract workforce

  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

  • Good computer skills, proficient with MS Office

  • Must have the legal right to work and reside in the US without company sponsorship
