SM-ENERGY Operations Specialist - I&E/SCADA in CATARINA, Texas

Work schedule to be discussed....will need to be able to work flexible schedule and available for callouts. The I&E SCADA Specialist will install, troubleshoot, calibrate and repair automation and communication equipment for all new wells drilled, and maintain the equipment on current producing wells. This person will program and configure the radio system and EFM meters, and ensure communication to EFM from well head, water/oil tanks levels, well electric shut down, back pressure valve and ensure it s all communicating to SCADA. This position will also be responsible for calibrating measurement equipment, utilizing automated software/SCADA systems, testing end devices, and material control for both SCADA coms and measurement equipment. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Conduct business with the highest ethical standards and has decision making skills that ensure the safety of all persons associated with SM facilities. Provide periodical training to Lease Operators and other field based employees on telemetry, communications, and measurement functions to explain functionality of equipment. Ability to evaluate employees assigned to a crew, schedule major projects, coordinate with other crews, and ensure that crews receive appropriate safety and technical training. Coordinate automation related activities with operations and maintenance department; support development, enhancement, and security of process systems. Oversee and coordinate all SCADA/I&E projects Assist with SCADA system planning, procurement, deployment, commissioning, and maintenance. Lead field operations with remote ESD check and identify trending issues EDUCATION: High School Diploma required; Bachelor or Associates degree preferred Minimum 4 years of oilfield automation experience or equivalent, strong instrumentation background and knowledge, or a 2-4 year technical degree (I/E Technology, construction management, engineering or equivalent) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Demonstrated leadership in the areas of Health, Environmental Compliance and Safety Ability to comprehend electrical drawings and technical manuals Troubleshoot technical problems Can manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion. Effective interpersonal and communication skills Good written and verbal communications skills and have demonstrated the ability to be approachable and tactful. Demonstrated ability to be proactive and lead efforts with minimal supervision Good organizational skills. Demonstrated organizational and planning skills. Must have valid driver s license Eagle Ford
