Texas Employer CDL Truck Driver in CARRIZO SPRINGS, Texas

Work schedule: To be discussed...as at times will required to work weekends, holidays, etc. Job description: Delivery driver required to transport and deliver goods between different locations. Types of products transported vary according to client's job/order requirements. They must drive company-owned vehicles for long distances, day runs, over the road runs or city deliveries based on specific requirements of job. The drivers are responsible for safely transporting materials to the intended destination (jobsite). CDL drivers that are responsible for maintaining DOT log books. Drivers may have to pull items for orders or assembling parts/materials for orders. Drivers may have to load them on to the vehicle and or trailer. If such items are beyond the driver's ability to load via their own physical strength or heavier than 40 lbs, said driver, if applicable and trained, can operate overhead cranes, forklifts, or other equipment needed to load delivery vehicle and or trailer. Delivery driver cannot unload any delivery item(s) that are beyond their own physical capabilities. That said any attempt to unload by hand when beyond said driver's ability, beyond the use of equipment available on site, beyond common sense, any and all injuries sustained will be on said driver. Delivery drivers usually perform many of the following tasks: *Checking vehicles on a daily basis for safety concerns or mechanical problems and securing loads. *Assisting industrial pipe and steel workers only in loading and unloading products. *cleaning their vehicles. No trash of any kind, cleaning materials provide by company. *Interacting with customers. No disrespectful language of any kind. Keep all personal matters private. You are a representative of the company, it demonstrates the professionalism about our company. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent education level. Be over 18 yrs old and have experience in driving vehicles with or without trailers, strapping down materials and have a safe driving record. Have basic knowledge and skills related to this job. Driver who operates vehicles weighing more than 26, 001 pounds are required to have a Commercial Driver's License; the CDL minimum age required is 21 years old. Required to have a valid driver's license issued from the state in which they live in, license will be subject to a back ground search. Drug screen/physical to be conducted.
