Will operate a tractor and trailer unit and will perform the following: Perform safety inspections as required by the Department of Transportation (DOT) Maintain a DOT driver log and records according to regulations and requirements Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing duties Complete each work ticket to ensure conformance with instructions and orders Move equipment from location to location Report all safety issues, incidents and concerns to UPP management, and notify supervisor of current or anticipated repair needs Maintain satisfactory customer service, keeping radio or telephone contact with supervisor or dispatcher to receive delivery or pickup instructions Conduct all pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor-trailer unit, and perform minor emergency road service when needed Load, secure and unload cargo or shipments, if necessary Perform other related duties as assigned Job Requirements Pass a criminal background check Pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen A clean driving record Proven ability to operate a Tractor Trailer or straight commercial vehicle SAFELY Possess a valid CDL-A or B Driver s License with Tanker and HazMat endorsements Possess a valid Medical Card Sign a 45 work day commitment Have the ability to repeatedly push, pull and pick up 50 lbs. Ability to interact with others in a team environment Ability to work variable schedules/shifts and long hours Ability to work in all types of weather and conditions Ability to effectively communicate verbally in English Minimum Qualifications: ● High School diploma or GED certificate ● Minimum one (2) year experience operating a manual shift diesel truck in a DOT-regulated environment ● Must have and maintain a valid Class b ● Maintain a satisfactory driving record ● No DWI convictions within the past 5 years and/or current DWI charges Must be at least 21 years old At least one year of experience operating a Supervac or Hyrdovac. Preferred Qualifications: ● Basic knowledge of oilfield well servicing, at least one (1) year experience preferred ● Knowledge of or experience in mechanical maintenance and repair of diesel trucks preferred This position requires the employee to work outdoors for long periods of time in all types of weather conditions typical of the area where the job is located, including dust, humidity, sleet, snow, rain, mud, cold, heat, wind, and other inclement weather. Working conditions for this position may involve exposure to varying outdoor conditions, including environmental chemicals, gases, noise, dampness, fumes, radiation and heights. Employee must be able to work closely with others in the confined area of the job, in a fast-paced team environment, and work independently when required or directed, taking initiative when necessary. Employee must be willing to work a possible 24-hour shift that can include days or nights, as well as weekends and holidays, and must stay alert and focused during the shift while performing repetitive and routine activities.
