Development and Production USA (DPUSA) is responsible for Statoil’s portfolio of producing assets and planned field developments across the US. The Associate Facilities Engineer will be responsible for all phases of project management including project concept selection, AFE preparation, design, and execution of gas gathering system projects and associated facilities (including well site facilities, gas compression, dehydration, liquid / liquid separation, and gas metering stations).
More specifically, job duties include the following:
Managing engineering contractors through the execution of preliminary and detailed engineering
Following up on construction activities to ensure compliance with construction contract documents
Ensuring corporate requirements and initiatives related to HSE are incorporated in the design and execution of the project
Participating in design and HAZOP / PHA safety reviews
Preparing scope of work documents for construction and process equipment tender packages
Supporting Supply Chain Management activities
Developing and implementing technical and operational improvements to the overall gas gathering and processing systems
Preparing project cost estimates and documentation for AFEs
Weekly reporting of costs, progress, and related metrics
Supporting the preparation of regulatory applications
Supporting operations as needed in troubleshooting issues with existing facilities and incorporating lessons learned in future designs
Drawing on design and project exposure from a diverse array of shale gas, NGL, and unconventional oil production equipment to formulate technical solutions
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
Experience with HYSYS process simulation and pipeline hydraulic modeling software would be beneficial
Experience with project economics and value engineering are required
Experience with design of facilities electrical systems would be beneficial
Strong MS Office skills: Excel spreadsheets, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
Ability to travel to the field to support projects as needed
